First Generation

Absolum Stratton, born 1772 in Wilkes Co., N.C., married Darcus Shearman on Oct. 25, 1806. He died on Aug. 8, 1852 in Tennessee.

Absolum died at the home of his son, John Stratton, at Stratton Meadows in Monroe Co., TN. He loved North Carolina and Tennessee so much that he wanted to be buried in both. At his death, his coffin was carved out of a large tree and he was buried on the TN/NC line close to the new highway on Cherohala Skyway going from Monroe Co, TN to Graham Co., N.C. His head is in North Carolina and his feet are in Tennessee.

Andrew Jackson "Jack" Stratton, born around 1835 in TN married Ana Eliza Russell. She was born in 1837 in N.C. Andrew died in 1903.

Dura Anne Stratton, born on Oct. 1, 1878, married Allen Paul Odom. He was born on July 15, 1870 to George and Caroline Colvin Odom. She died on July 7, 1959 and Allen died on Oct. 18, 1959. Both are buried in Lone Oak Cemetery, Robbinsville, Graham Co., N.C.

Dovie Lee Dale Odom, born Feb. 27, 1898 in Robbinsville, Graham Co., N.C. married Charles Pird Phillips on July 26, 1912. He was born on May 4, 1888 to Joseph "Joe" and Harriet Farley Phillips. Purd died on Feb. 25, 1928 and is buried in Shady Grove Cemetery, Tellico Plains, Monroe Co., TN.

Wayne Phillips - born on March 7, 1921 in N.C. and died on March 3, 1989 due to a brain tumor.

Dovie then married William Burton Hunt. He was born on July 16, 1905. Dovie died on Dec. 17, 1982 and William died on June 13, 1983. They are buried at Friendship Cemetery, Monroe Co., TN.

Seventh Generation

Wayne Phillips, born on March 7, 1921 in Robbinsville, Graham Co., N.C., married Lois Ellen Watson on April 13, 1946 in Chattsworth, GA. She was born on April 9, 1928 to Alfred Calloway and Ethel Mae Hicks Watson. Wayne died on March 3, 1989 due to a brain tumor. He is buried in Haven Hills Memorial Gardens, Madisonville, Monroe Co., TN.

Eighth Generation

Jennifer Rebecca Phillips - born Oct. 21, 1971 married Chad Kirkpatrick. Children are: Shelby Reed Kirkpatrick - born 1998 and Ellie Beth Kirkpatrick - born 2000
