- 1970's Home Hawks Jersey
possibly worn by Bill White
- Dureen
- This shirt is off-white
and has been significantly laundered. Appears yellow to a modern Hawks
jersey and the black material shows good fading. There
is clear evidence of the #2 having been removed. It's small (possibly size
44) and makes you wonder
how
these guys ever wore equipment underneath. Made
of a nice
Dureen material. Shows 5 good size repairs. There
are a few unrepaired holes , a few puck marks, red marks and a few yellow
stained blotches. The inside of the shirt shows it to have probably been
hung on an old
metal hangers as there appears to be lines of rust. The rust has not seeped
through the material though.
I still have no clue as to who wore the #36 and I've not found any pics of
Bill White that matched my jersey. It is suspected
to have been recycled from a #2 jersey into a preseason
#36 jersey. But regardless,
I think it's a really nice piece and it fits in
my collection as well as I expected it to. If anyone
should have any info that may pertain to this #36, do not hesitate to contact
me.
