DEN'S VINTAGE & ANTIQUE RADIOS & RECORD PLAYERS

I started collecting old radios and record players in 2006. I tried to buy good operating units, but not all were as good as advertised. So, I had to learn how to make some repairs to get them working properly. I did that by reading a couple of books and using the internet as a resource. I've saved several units electronically and that gives me a really good feeling to have brought back to life an old radio or record playing machine. I now play one or the other most everyday and try to use them all every so often to see that they still work properly. I set up this web page just to display my collection. I also may have a unit or so for sale. My house is very small and can't hold all the pieces I'd like to have, so some have to go after I restore them. Some of them are in a museum in Tellico Plains, TN so visitors can enjoy them as well. So, scroll on down and see my collection and thanks for visiting. Oh, this web page is very simple because that's all I know how to do, no fancy graphics, no music. I still use Hot Dog, a program made in the early 90's, to build my page. Want music? Play your records or vintage radio.

This is the first piece I bought. I really like suitcase record players and this one is in really great shape. It's a 1955 Motorola and uses a Webcor turntable. It has twin speakers, one on each side.

The second piece I bought was this nice Motorola radio and record player. I still had to have a record player involved. This is a mid 40's model.

From here on, they aren't in order of purchase. Although I do have a few other brands, I mainly collect Silvertones. Why, you ask? Because when I was growing up in the 50's and 60's, my uncle worked for Sears and Roebuck, so everything I had electronic was a Silvertone. Also, I think they're very nice radios and I can't run out of models to collect. I believe there's at least 2500 models.
