Welcome to the East Tennessee Region, AACA!

The East Tennessee Region Banner

The East Tennessee Region is made up of approximately 90 member families in the greater Knoxville area with members also in the nearby towns of Maryville, Alcoa, Cosby, Seymour, Loudon, Lenoir City, Sweetwater, Spring City and Athens. We have found that our members like to do two things especially: (1) Drive our antique cars and (2) Eat. As a result, we have monthly activities which incorporate both these desires! We have a monthly activity which usually involves touring in our vehicles followed by a meal together. Individual members volunteer to host a monthly activity, and we usually have at least one overnight trip during  the year.

Our members are active at AACA National Meets and Tours - as Judges, National Officers (including three past National Presidents), National Directors (two currently serving), Board and Committee Chairmen, members and participants.

In April 2003 our Region hosted the AACA Southeastern Division Tour. It was a three day hub tour out of the Maryville/Alcoa area and we had 108 cars participating from 23 different states. Each day's driving averaged about 100 miles and the tourers traveled a different route each day with stops along the way to get the "flavor" of the area. Highlights included touring through the Great Smoky Mountains and Cades Cove, Ripley's Aquarium, the Museum of Aviation and Roger Brown's petroleum related collection. The weather was perfect for all three days and those with convertibles had their tops down!

Our Region hosted the 1998 AACA Southeastern Fall National Meet in Oak Ridge, TN. We had over 360 vehicles on the show field and had perfect weather for the September event. Activities and tours were included for our guests and afterwards we received many nice compliments about the meet.
