The only native Nashvillian in the group, Sandy began playing the dulcimer in 1987 as a student of David Schnaufer. She is a member of Nashville's Grand Old Dulcimer Club and coordinates the Club's Grand Old Dulcimer Day festival each year in May.
A former teacher in Nashville Public Schools and School to Career Manager for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, Sandy is now the Volunteer Coordinator at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
Her music and gift for teaching blesses cancer survivors at Gilda's Club and heart transplant patients at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she plays weekly with Linda Sack. Linda and Sandy's first recording, "Heart Strings," was compiled as a gift to the heart transplant patients at VUMC in 1998.
