INSTRUCTORS

To keep the student/instructor ratio low, Dennis has teamed up with Wayne Sayer and Harm Darwinkel, two highly experienced flyers and instructors.

Harm Darwinkel

As a child Harm was already very fond of everything that had something to do with flying, experimenting alot with a great variety of flying objects from paperfolded models, kites, free-flightmodels, RC-models (gliders and engine-powered). He has done some skydiving and in 1980 started hanggliding, flying all sorts of gliders and in the mid-80's started XC-flights in Fiesch (Switzerland)

Harm founded a club in his native Holland - ( http://www.open.ou.nl//aaa/daidalos/ )  in the 90's and he is still the chairman. He founded a winch-team and became the regular winchdriver and flying almost every other weekend, even in winter. When a friend started a hanggliding school here in 1993, he was asked to become his assistant-instructor.

Somewhere in the mid-nineties he got his private pilots licence and since then he flies around in a Cessna and for a few years now he has assisted Dennis Pagen with his XC-seminar.

Wayne Sayer

Wayne started flying Hang Gliders in 1977 rather than attending his college classes in Virginia. He's flown in dozens of competitions in the US and internationally. He also holds a private pilot's license, flies paragliders and microlights. After roaming around the US in his camper for several years, he's currently based himself in Bishop, California, in the heart of the Owens Valley but travels round Europe every summer.
